Something else to look forward to under Obamacare

The British Medical Association (BMA) and Association of Chief Police Officers have discussed ways in which doctors can be made aware of patients who own firearms.

The BMA's plan to "tag" - or highlight - the medical records of patients who have shotgun or firearms licenses...

Out of sheer curiosity, what possible reason would a doctor need to know that?

I know that it has nothing to do with actual need, that it is just more nanny-state BS, but they usually attempt some kind of explanation.

This has come up with my doctor.

"Do you have firearms in your house?"
Nope, and you're fired.

Changed docs when I got home.

I worry about the new health care bill removing my ability to move docs and avoid answering that question.
