  1. While I cannot offer more than anecdotal evidence beyond a sample of one (my own daughter) and will not go so far as to say that vaccines cause autism, I can say that vaccines are not free of problems as evidenced by the fact that my daughter had severe breathing issues requiring the regular use of an albuteral nebulizer when she was being vaccinated and has had ZERO breathing issues since we stopped vaccinating her. There is other strong correlation evidence in her medical records which her pediatrician adamantly denied to the point of calling CPS to claim we were denying medical treatment. So, respectfully, the American Association of Pediatric Medicine can shove there opinions loosely supported by a biased study up their glory holes.

Thanks for the reply and sharing your experience...Sorry about you and your daughter's experiences...

My issue is with the idjits that DON'T have first-hand experience and parrot an incorrect meme that any vaccinations=autism...

There are aberrations and side effects in most treatments (preventative or otherwise), but the thought of "since there is a 1 in 8,000,000 chance a 'bad thing' might happen, so I won't vaccinate" and ups the chance of catastrophic illness to 1 in 10,000, or worse- become a latter-day carrier of measles, smallpox, or some other contagious disease that would have been contained if the child was vaccinated- thus infecting other practitioners of the same misguided thought process...

    As for side effects-
Have you seen the stuff that is listed for even some of the most beneficial medicines?

Mirapex (a Parkinson's treatment) give many people amnesia and sometimes hallucinations. Allegra (for hay fever) can cause muscle pain, weakness, and even nerve damage. Vasotec (for high blood pressure and preventing congestive heart failure) can make you lose your sense of smell, give you tinnitus, blurred vision and dry eyes.
Chantix (a stop-smoking drug) can give you night terrors (think nightmares, squared) and lead to suicidal thoughts, and I've had my own version of Ambien side effects where I nearly had a close encounter with an Air Marshall and his taser on a trans-Atlantic flight.

My point- drugs have side effects- weigh the risks vs benefits- it's your choice- UNTIL it effects others.

Curious- which (series of) vaccinations was causing the breathing problem?

  4. That theory had been well and truly disproven, but there will always be that 1-3% who will continue to believe the Jenny McCarthy's of the world. My take, you don't vaccinate, you don't send your kid to school, to the amusement parks, to sporting events, etc. You make that choice, you pay the price... I don't want potential disease vectors threatening MY grandchildren...

  5. I do think that some of the complications may be related to too many vaccines given in too short a period of time, perhaps sometimes their kidneys are weaker. I do not see the harm in spreading them out a bit. Also, using mercury as a preservative in something being injected seems like a bad idea.

Tweaked the anti-spam settings a bit.
Let's see if this does the trick.
