Yay. Air Travel.
Again.
I think OldNFO published this pic a while back...
That this could happen scares the bejeebers out of me.
It's one (of many) reasons that I don't sit in window seats,
and if for some reason I DO wind up in a window seat I never look out the window.
TBG- ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒE
I can't the credit for that one, but that WOULD get someone's attention... :-)
ReplyDeleteI can safely assume, given that this photo exists, that the plane landed safely.
ReplyDeleteSo what's your next fear? OMG MY INTERNET CONNECTION FROZE UP WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!
;P
Yeah. I was window seat on a British Air flight on approach into Boston back in the early 80's, when it dropped a big section of left aileron into somebody's car on the North Shore.
ReplyDeletePilot came back and asked me if I saw it go. I told him how it picked up a vibration as soon as they engaged it, and it built energy for about 15 seconds until it disappeared with a big bang.
Nice recovery by the pilots when the asymmetric drag tried to roll us over, and Logan Tower got us on the ground fast, with crash trucks escorting.
Widest awake passengers you ever saw getting off a transatlantic flight.
