STOL on a Cargo Ship

Kind of a 'why bother' since the Foxbat is extremely limited cargo room or passenger capacity, but still pretty cool.
Reminds me of the old days high-wind/short roll take offs and landings in Marathon during my sordid, daredevil youth.

  1. But for emergencies, like medicine or a medivac that 'could' be a lifesaver (literally)!

  2. Looking at the two crewmen pushing the plane off the ship made me think of those cheap balsawood gliders I'd get as toys.

Pretty easy to STOL if your plane basically weighs as much as a leaf.

    True dat.
It would fill a specific niche-
Even if it didn't land (due to ship configuration), it could get close enough to deliver an emergency package, probably more economically than a helicopter.

I was amused by that take-off procedure... I did wonder if they were holding it down to run up the prop RPMs without a roll, not that it needed much.

Tweaked the anti-spam settings a bit.
Let's see if this does the trick.
