Although the FJR is still my go-to for basic transportation, there is a new hunk of metal in the driveway at the Estrogen Palace...

Man, it's going to be nice to be able to take rifles to the range again without getting pulled over for "safety inspections".
That and getting to work dry when it's raining...
Yeah. That will be nice too.

You're going to put a gun rack in the back of that thang?
ReplyDeletelooks like whoever had that before you took pretty good care of it.
ReplyDeleteIs it carbureted or throttle body injection?
Oldie but a goody and probably good for another 100000 miles at least! :-)
ReplyDeleteLuc: There already IS a gunrack in the back window.
ReplyDeleteKX: It has a rebuilt 302 (4.9L) V8 EFI plant.
Sounds like a tank when it's idling...
ONFO: easily. About the only thing I need to do is replace the headlights- the aiming hardware (small plastic parts) is shot and the lenses have cataracts; I found them on ebay for $22 each.
so here's the $64 dollar question: Does the AC work?
ReplyDeleteOh yeah.
ReplyDelete(Not that that would have been a deal breaker- No AC on the FJR either.
Nothing like sitting in summer traffic with jacket and gloves...)
But yeah- nice AC.
