Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny brought me a T-Bone for Easter...

No... Not that kind of T-Bone...

Yes, it hurt. Yes, I was wearing my safety belt.
Aside from some serious bruises I'm OK...

The guy who hit me is OK too...

I have a bad feeling Physalia's totaled...
She's not doing well.

  2. Glad you're not seriously hurt. Sorry about the car, but it can be replaced. You, you're one of a kind!

  3. ouch x2. kudos to the engineers that designed the unibody on your car. If you look at the wrinkles in the sheet metal, you can see the path along which the energy of the impact was dissipated. Count your lucky stars, no cracked or broken ribs, and you didn't roll. Not much of a silver lining, but it's all I've got.
    Glad you are ok.

  4. Pretty amazing design from Honda...
He hit me at 35-40mph right at the seam between the doors. The Element doesn't have a B-column, but the way the two doors fit together creates a great barrier.
My left side is pretty banged up, and my shoulder and clavicle are bruised and abraded from the seat belt.
But it could have been much, much worse- kx59's right- no roll, and no one really injured.

Thinking about shopping a new Element if they total it...

Glad everybody is OK. You'd be pretty hard to replace.

Yes, its amazing the way everything bends to absorb the crash these days.

  9. I heart your car, no matter how dinged. However, supreme upside is you're okay, which is always the hoped-for outcome.

Tweaked the anti-spam settings a bit.
Let's see if this does the trick.
